Protect Larrakia Country: Stop the Middle Arm Gas HubDarwin knows what care looks like. We know how to feed families and whole communities with a line and a hook. We know how to stand together and make sure no one is left behind. That spirit is under threat. Greedy fossil fuel corporations want to dredge our harbour, pollute our seas, and poison our water — all to make a quick buck. The proposed expansion of the Middle Arm gas hub risks destroying the very things that make Darwin home. It doesn’t have to be this way. The Federal Labor Government has a responsibility to the people of Darwin and to Larrakia Country. Instead of throwing $1.9 billion of public money into a polluting gas hub, the government must fund what truly sustains us — a safe climate and thriving communities. That money could protect what we love: clean seas, a living harbour, restored creeks, cooling forests, and families with secure futures. Darwin life is unique, vibrant, and abundant. We know how to make a lot with a little. We know how to care for each other and for Country. Tell the Federal Labor Government to throw a line to our future — protect Darwin Harbour from pollution and greed, and invest in a First Nations‑led future that cares for people and Country.2,702 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Protect Larrakia Country

Make Big Polluters PayWe believe in a future where our communities, Country, and climate are cared for — where no one is left to carry the cost of a crisis they didn’t create. Right now, that’s not the world we’re living in. Big coal, oil and gas companies have made enormous profits while driving billions of tonnes of climate pollution. Yet in Australia, they’re paying less tax than many teachers, nurses, and essential workers — while communities shoulder the rising costs of climate damage. That’s not fair. And it’s not inevitable. Climate change is already here. Across Australia and our region, people are facing more intense floods, fires, storms, droughts and rising seas. Insurance companies are pushing up premiums and food is more expensive than ever. Recovery after disasters is stretching communities and governments to breaking point. The cost of climate disasters in Australia has reached $38 billion every year — around $3,500 per household. These are real costs, paid in lost homes, disrupted lives, damaged Country, and deepening inequality. We believe those most responsible for this damage must contribute to repairing it. We’re calling on the federal government to: • Introduce a climate pollution levy on fossil fuel extraction, requiring coal, oil and gas corporations to pay for the harm their pollution causes. • Establish a Climate Compensation Fund, using this revenue to support communities most impacted by climate disasters — in Australia and across our region. This isn’t radical. It’s responsible governance. Places like Vermont and New York have already passed laws to create similar funds. Now it’s time for Australia to step up. A just transition, starting now Climate science and frontline communities are clear: fossil fuel expansion must end, and these industries need to be wound down. While we push for that transition, we can also ensure that — for as long as these companies continue operating — they are held accountable for the damage they cause. Because right now, the costs of climate pollution are being pushed onto families, First Nations communities, and those least able to afford it. We’re coming together to say: It’s not right that communities pay the price while polluters walk away with the profits. Add your name to call for a fairer system — one grounded in responsibility, care, and justice for people and planet.2,023 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by 350 Australia

Electrify NSWEveryone deserves a home that is healthy, safe, affordable — and built for the future. Across NSW, new homes are being built every day. This should be an opportunity to give people comfort, choice and lower energy bills for decades to come. Instead, everyday people are being locked into outdated gas infrastructure they didn’t choose — determining how their home is powered, how their food is cooked, and how they stay warm in winter. Right now, the NSW state government continues to allow new buildings to be connected to gas, meaning around 30% of new homes are being built to rely on fossil fuels from day one. This decision shapes people’s lives for years — and it doesn’t have to be this way. We know there’s a better path forward. Building all-electric homes is one of the simplest and most effective ways to create healthier households, lower energy bills and cleaner communities. It’s a future that works for people, climate and Country. All-electric homes mean: 🌱 Healthier homes and healthier communities Electric homes avoid the harmful air pollution created by burning gas indoors, protecting children and families from respiratory illness and long-term health risks. 💸 Lower energy bills and greater affordability All-electric buildings are cheaper to run than homes connected to both gas and electricity — delivering ongoing savings during a cost-of-living crisis. 🌏 Care for Country and climate Moving away from gas reduces pollution and emissions, helping protect land, water and communities from worsening bushfires, floods and extreme weather. ⚡ A fair and just energy transition Requiring new buildings to be all-electric ensures construction companies — not everyday people — pay for modern electrical infrastructure at the point of build. This prevents costly retrofits later and ensures everyone can benefit from the clean energy transition, not just those who can afford it. When we build all-electric from the start, we make the right choice the easy choice. We future-proof our homes, reduce long-term costs, and ensure no one is left behind. Together, we can choose homes that support our health, protect Country, and set communities up to thrive — now and for generations to come.1,530 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by 350 Australia

Make Big Polluters Pay Their Fair Share: Tamworth Regional CouncilThe “Polluter Pays” principle is simple – if you make a mess, you should clean it up. Communities like ours are already paying the price of climate change through higher insurance premiums and increasing disaster recovery bills. Meanwhile, big coal, oil and gas corporations are making billions exporting Australia’s resources, often while paying no tax and pocketing huge government subsidies. Our community is already experiencing the impacts of climate pollution – from floods and bushfires to heatwaves and coastal erosion. Local councils are on the frontline, responsible for roads, drainage, community facilities and emergency response – but right now the costs of disasters are rising faster than council revenue. A Climate Compensation Fund could help pay for: 🚨Disaster response and preparedness 😌 Insurance relief for disaster-hit communities 🏠 Flood-proofed homes 🏛️ Upgraded community halls and evacuation centres 🌳 Shaded streets and cool public spaces 🚒 Well-resourced emergency services ✨ An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Climate Self Determination Fund 👷 Support for a just transition for workers and their families ➕ And much more… Delivery plans This petition will be delivered to Tamworth Regional Council who will be encouraged to table it as part of a successful Polluter Pays motion.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jean Coady
